If you’re a vegan or just looking to eat healthier, finding tasty and nutritious salad dressings can be a challenge. One classic dressing that has always been a crowd-pleaser is Caesar salad dressing. There are a ton of vegan caesar dressings out there, but I’m sharing my favourite and go-to recipe. It’s zesty, tangy and super creamy. It’s always a a winner at dinner and one of my picky husband’s favourites.

Why You’ll Love This Dairy Free Caesar Dressing
- In my humble opinion, homemade salad dressings always taste better than store-bought ones. Fresh is always best. And that same way of thinking works for this creamy vegan dressing.
- This vegan caesar dressing is velvety smooth, tangy, garlicky and simple to make. It takes 30 minutes from start to finish and most of that time is passive time while the cashews soak.
- I always add roasted chickpeas to my caesar salads, so I’ve added below (with the recipe) what else I add to my typical caesar salad. But in my opinion the roasted chickpeas truly up the vegan salad game.

Vegan Caesar Dressing In Minutes
It takes all of 30 minutes to make this dairy free caesar dressing. Once the cashews have soaked for at least 20 minutes, the rest of the dressing and salad will come together in 10 minutes tops! I do suggest using a blender cup to blend any sauces or dressings. The dressings just come out smoother and creamier, I find. Below are the ingredients you need to make this beyond creamy caesar dressing.
For The Dressing
- Cashews
- Garlic
- Lemon Juice
- Capers
- Dijon
- Nutritional Yeast
- Maple Syrup

Love this, light and not so strong flavours that it overpowers the salad. Good job. Thanks
