  1. Add the frozen pineapple chunks, fresh orange juice, ice, lime juice and the tequila into a high-speed blender or a blender cup and blend until smooth. If the blender is having trouble add a splash more of orange juice.
  2. Option to add 1 jalapeño to the blender for a spicy jalapeño margarita- remove seeds depending on your tolerance for spice. Note that the colour of the margarita will change.
  3. Option (but recommended) to salt the rim of the glass and then divide between 4 glasses. Add a wedge of lime or pineapple wedge to the glasses. Serve right away to live your best tropical life.

Tips For The Best Pineapple Margarita

Here are a few tips to ensure the end result of this recipe is the best margarita and your new favorite cocktail.

1. Use a high-speed blender. If you want a thick slushy texture, you are going to need to use your tamper to make sure everything blends smoothly while remaining thick. If you don’t have a high-speed blender, you will have to add a little extra liquid, which will still result in delicious pineapple margaritas, it just might not be as thick.

2. Make sure the pineapple you use isn’t sour. You will be able to taste the sourness as the pineapple is the main star in this recipe, so test the frozen pineapple before you use it.?It’s also key to use frozen pineapple and not fresh fruit. This is what adds to the slushiness along with the ice. Use fresh fruit to garnish the fruity margaritas.

3. If you want a spicy pineapple margarita, add a jalapeño. This will change the colour of the blended pineapple margarita but the taste will be amazing. Use your discretion when deciding how many seeds to add.

4. The best way to enjoy the frozen margaritas is right away, as soon as they are blended. This is not a recipe to enjoy the next day.
